Kitchen Shower USEFUL Flower Centerpiece

The entire flower goes together and comes apart very easily.  No glue is used at all.

Supplies:  two microfiber towels, one spatula with a hole at the top, a sink drain cover, a Handiwipe, a strawberry colander, a planter, a cardboard flower center (I had these but you can easily make one or have your child make one), potato chip bag clip, and floral tape.

First slide the sink drain cover over the spatula...

fold the Handiwipe like a fan and tie it with ribbon or string (I chose the green ribbon for the plant and I curled it to sort of hide it) in the center to make a flower (same method as tissue paper flowers)....

slide the ribbon into the hole in the spatula and tie the Handiwipe flower to the spatula handle...

slide the sink drain cover up the spatula behind the Handiwipe flower...

wrap the top of the handle of the spatula with floral tape just beneath the sink drain cover so it doesn't slide down the spatula handle....

fold the two microfiber towels in half, and then in half again....

place one towel on top of the other

place the paddle of the spatula on the towels and begin rolling the towels around the spatula...

place the small colander inside the planter...

stand the flower up inside the colander that is inside the planter (if the rolled towel does not fit to the edges, loosen it a little until it does and the spatula is standing straight up...

clip the chip bag clip on the spatula (representing a leaf)...

drop your center on the flower (the glitter helps it stay secure on the towel so you don't have to glue it and then ruin the Handiwipe)....

Done!  We put a couple of these in the middle of each table and all the ladies wanted to take one home!  A very big hit!
